A few things to know.
How does AI suggest potential Wednesdates?
AI considers profile details and photos to look for mutual attraction among people whose preferences fit. On Wednesday at 10:00, you can see up to three potential Wednesdates and open their profiles. You choose who you’d like to meet; a Wednesdate needs both people to choose each other.
How do your choices work?
Select anyone you’d like to meet and save before Wednesday at 17:30, Berlin time. You can also choose “None of these.” Your selection is private and can’t be changed once saved. At 18:00, you’ll see whether you have a Wednesdate. Passing or not saving a selection means you won’t have a Wednesdate that week.
Will you receive a match every week?
You can receive at most one match each week you opt in. A match isn’t guaranteed: it depends on who else joins that week and whether there’s a suitable pairing within both people’s preferences and mutual choices. Even if you both choose each other, a Wednesdate isn’t guaranteed: each person can have at most one. If you aren’t matched, you can opt in for the next week.
Does the date have to happen on Wednesday?
No. Your potential Wednesdates appear on Wednesday at 10:00. Save your choices before 17:30, then see if you have a Wednesdate at 18:00, Berlin time. You decide together when and where to meet.
How long do you have to chat?
Open your conversation before Friday at 08:00, Berlin time. Conversations you’ve both opened stay available after that. Use the chat to say hello and make a plan together.
Can you skip a week?
Yes. You choose whether to opt in each week. If you want to take part, opt in before the end of Tuesday, Berlin time. If you skip a week, you won’t be included in that week’s matching pool.
Who can join, and where is Wednesdate available?
Wednesdate is for single adults aged 18 and over. It’s now available for iPhone on the App Store. We’re starting in Berlin.
Who can see your profile and photos?
Your profile isn’t in a public swipe feed. It can be shown to your potential Wednesdates and the person you’re matched with. Your choices stay private; a Wednesdate tells you the interest was mutual. Your photos and profile details are also processed by our AI provider, xAI, to review profiles and help make matches. Read our Privacy Policy for the full details.
